Ted Smiley, with his sister, Brenna Smiley-Moritz, is a
co-founder of the Smiley Hollow Company.
Ted has farmed the family farm in the Smiley Hollow area for about
55 years. The Smiley Farm produces various vegetables such as corn,
tomatoes, bell peppers, yellow squash, turnip greens as well as
many other vegetables that grow in this area.

Smiley-Moritz had the vision about a family friendly venue
that could be used by local companies and out of town convention
groups. During her hospitality career in such major convention hotels
as the Gaylord Opryland Complex, the Hyatt Regency and the Radisson
Nashville, she had many requests from convention attendees to know
where the "Real Tennesseans party.

Moritz joined the family operationin 1999 after a 23 year
career as Vice President of Food & Beverage with Gaylord
Entertainment Company. He has been in the catering and
hospitality business since 1956 in major facilities in Europe and
the US. He is a Certified Food and Beverage Executive by the
Am. Hotel and Motel Association. Prior to Gaylord he has handled
Catering Operations for the Houston Astrodome and the 1100 room
Peachtree Plaza in Atlanta, GA. |
